Well, I'm not 100% sure of that... Finally I could see with my own eyes the
differences between LW4 on a Pentium 90 and My Amiga Warp/40.
For small stuff, it's great to work in the P90. Small scenes got a speed
increase (rendering time) of more than 3 times faster.
But when the scenes get lots of objects and more and more complicated, while
in the Amiga, the speed decrease is linear, in the P90 it exponential (is that
the word?). It just crawls... Gosh, I just hate to wait and wait just to open
a file requester!!!
It's just useable if we have 64Mb RAM. Then it's much better than the Amiga.
Now, to get real work done while object modelling, the Amiga is king... I
don't even want to talk about Arexx tools, I'm just talking plain modelling...
Just for a test... Make a box with those segments: x=100, y=100, z=100. On the
P90 it took 19sec to generate the polys, on the Amiga took 9s.
